• 1. You Tell Your Story

Every bespoke jewellery design begins with a conversation. Whether you’re dreaming of a custom engagement ring, reimagining a family heirloom, or celebrating a milestone, we delve into your journey and vision. In our Surrey studio or online, we explore your inspiration, preferences, and the meaning behind your piece. This foundational dialogue ensures your design is deeply personal.

  • 2. We Design

Guided by your story, we move to design development. We begin with hand-drawn sketches and 3D CAD renderings, experimenting with styles, gemstones, metal types, and settings. Every element, from a platinum and sapphire ring to a rose-gold pavé band, is chosen to reflect your individuality. This phase is fully collaborative, and we refine each detail until it feels just right. Whether creating a bespoke engagement ring or a unique heirloom remake, your feedback shapes the result.

  • 3. You Guide

At this stage, our jewellery experts provide clear, impartial guidance on diamonds and gemstones, metal durability, sizing, and wearability. But it’s a dialogue: if something doesn’t resonate, we return to design tweaks. Built on trust, clarity, and shared intent, this back-and-forth ensures your piece meets your expectations, resulting in truly custom jewellery that is both emotional and expertly crafted.

  • 4. We Craft

Once the design is finalised, our master jewellers bring it to life in our Surrey workshop. Using traditional techniques alongside modern tools, we carefully set gemstones, finish each contour, and polish to perfection. The result is a beautifully finished piece designed to be treasured for generations.

FAQs

How does the bespoke jewellery design process work?

We begin with a design consultation, followed by sketches or 3D CAD designs. Once approved, our goldsmiths will handcraft or hand finish your piece using your chosen gemstones and precious metals.

Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before booking a consultation?

No, you can come with no design in mind, and we’ll help you explore styles, stones, and settings to develop a piece you love.

Can you remodel old or inherited jewellery into something new?

Yes, we often transform inherited rings, necklaces, and other jewellery into new designs. Visit our bespoke gallery to see examples of past remodels.

How long does it take to create a bespoke piece?

Bespoke pieces usually take 4 - 6 weeks to complete, though exact timelines are provided individually for each project. If you have a specific deadline, please let us know, and we will do our utmost to complete your restoration by that date.

What types of stones and metals can I choose from?

We can source a wide range of diamonds and gemstones, including custom cut stones in specific shapes and sizes. We typically work with 9ct and 18ct yellow and white gold, platinum, palladium and silver.

Is there a minimum budget for bespoke jewellery?

Not necessarily, but we recommend discussing your budget early so we can design something beautiful within your price range.
